This is a website to talk about the economy, finances and how to get out of and avoid bad debt.  We have all certainly had our share of ups and downs and and there is a lot to share with people regarding their personal finances.  I would encourage anyone in debt to GET OUT OF IT FAST!  Do anything and everything you can to dump bad debt and become financially free.  Treat it as though your life depended on it.  When I refer to bad debt, I mean credit card debt, unsecured debts, and loans on quickly depreciating liabilities like cars.  I want to show you how you can change your whole financial picture by focusing on a few simple principles.

1.  Remember - The borrower is always SLAVE to the LENDER!
2.  Credit Cards suck!!!  Do everything you can do GET RID OF THEM!!
3.  Always look for a GOOD deal on a USED car.  Never buy new!!!
4.  Be patient when buying a home.  Find a good deal on a home that is not in need of very many repairs.  You home is a WISE investment most of the time.  My rule of thumb in most cases is that when you sell you will always get back every payment you ever made.
5.  Save, Save, Save!!!  I believe the rule from the book "Richest Man in Babylon" which says:  10% of all you earn is yours to keep.
6.  Last but NOT least - Tithe 10% on all you earn and tithe on your Gross income.  This should be the FIRST thing you do before paying any bills.  If you are the least bit religious or spiritual please take heed to this scripture:

Malachi 3:10 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

This will be a good start for now.  More to come.
